It is always fun trying to choose a cover for the next book. She Comes in Waves was particularly challenging due to its subject matter. Do you lean into the horror, the dream world? How to combine the sensuality and the seduction of addiction, and yet maintain the horror.
This was one of the contenders, but in the end, it lost out because I felt it was too heavily into the horror spectrum. It also has some reference to another image or painting, maybe a book cover, but I cannot place it. And...
