This book came from a line in a poem I wrote years ago. "Fade To Black". It was about how we can be front and centre of the headlines, only to fade away. It incorporated the experiences and ideas I had gathered over the years, as well as some of the research and themes I have used in two of my non-fiction books. Plus, a healthy dose of cynicism about the whole fame and Hollywood projection.
The two non-fiction books are “The Age of Influence”. Just published on Amazon and available on this webpage. This book examines the history of influence and the role of influencers in society and marketing, presenting the subject in a readable and relatable manner. It is not a guide on how to become one. And it is not a textbook.
The second one is a book I am still working on, provisionally titled “Are You Who You Say You Are”. This one is about identity. How we perceive ourselves and how others perceive us. What constitutes our identity, what happens when our identity is challenged, life's crises, and how they impact our identity, identity in a digital age, and more. Again, not a textbook, but a readable and relatable exploration.
